In 2020, as Covid was taking its toll, I started working with figurative elements that were linked and repeated. I used Adobe Illustrator to make pattern designs out of figure parts I had drawn. I also began working more with digital collage, layering photos I had taken in the Sinai desert. Working with linked arms and figures felt like a way to emphasize connectivity and solidarity during a time of grief on our planet.
